18 Jun : 20:31Hmm but often regionalism is treated as a negative approach towards humanity. What if someone says that human being should go beyond the regional boundary?
Individualization of architecture may throw it to a practice of showing off individuals egoistic approach towards a design solution.
Architecture is 'for all'; importance towards individual ideas may become a threat against the mass humanistic way of design. Often architects are sacrificing practical and functional issues to entertain individuality and regionalism.
By the way.. the modern masters including Corbusier didn't follow the 'rules' and 'agendas' of modernism every time. They also went beyond the so called 'mass humanistic way' of design. So why not us? Why not Tadao Ando? I think we should follow a 'balance' between the orthodox universal modernists thoughts and regional-individualistic approach of design. -

18 Jun : 18:30the architect has spoken abt preserving the regionalism in architecture.the architecture has to deal with different condition lead by the surrounding.it changes with its requirement.rather tthan mimicing the tecniques in words of globalism it should be studied to deal with individual conditoions.
